Juliana Thornton

Juliana Thornton, Photojournalist

Juliana Thornton is a regional award winning and national award nominated photographer currently obtaining an associate's degree in visual arts. Her love for art stretches all the way back to elementary school, and has grown since then as a graphic designer, multimedia artist, and photographer. When she's not behind the lens, she's probably out meeting new people, enjoying the outdoors, or in the pit for a concert.

A current freshman at HCC, Juliana graduated Glenelg High School in 2024 where she led her school's media team, was part of the Howard County Public School System as a contractor and graphic designer and showcased her art around the county. Specializing in sports and concert media, her passion has helped grow her portfolio for the past three years as a freelance photographer from Howard County sports teams to the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. Juliana is eager to contribute to the HCC Times and looks forward to connecting with fellow students and staff to document the diversity, imagination, and creativity the school displays.
