Mariam Kamel is a full-time HCC student, working towards a BA in Government and Politics & Cinema and Media Studies. She’s also the assistant director of communications for a nonprofit student-led political organization.

Previously wanting to pursue a career as a storyboard artist and writer, her main inspirations come from 2010s animated cartoons and current pop culture. Her upbringing as a Muslim immigrant also influences her work, as she aspires to shine a light on her experiences and countless others.
