Joel E. Wood II
Socrates once said “the unexamined life is not worth living.” Joel takes this seriously and strives to understand the world around him and his place in it. He does this by asking “Why?, How?, and What for?” constantly. He strives to encourage his peers to do the same. He challenges his peers to think deeper, find patterns, and to truly observe the world around them. This means looking past the surface of people's actions and events; looking at the specific person and figuring out their mindset, goals, sense of purpose, and what drives them to take the actions they do. Joel has many other interests as well-- he plays soccer, basketball, participates in theater, can play many instruments, sings, and loves to work with his hands. This love of working with his hands has put him on a path to study Construction Management. Joel has many dreams, but if you were to ask which one is his biggest he will tell you that it is one day being a husband and dad.
